Eat Cannabis! is not only for cannabis lovers, but especially for those who do not know it so well yet. Here you will find 45 modern recipes divided into seven chapters. Their preparation is not complicated, on the contrary. In addition to hemp ingredients, they also contain other lesser-known, interesting but accessible ingredients that will liven up your diet.
In our book, we would like to draw attention to cannabis as a superfood that can literally change the world so that our society can be cured of some of the diseases of civilization. So, unfortunately, you won’t find recipes for your favourite “cookies” in this cookbook.
The recipes are compiled with an emphasis on nutritional content and are completely free of intoxicants. Co-author Kateřina Bednářová drew on her extensive experience not only with Czech cuisine, but also sought inspiration from the Mediterranean and Asia – and the result is an interesting composition of light, refreshing and easily digestible dishes. In line with the current trend of replacing animal proteins with vegetable ones, most of the dishes are vegetarian. We devote an entire chapter to meat.
Recipes are equipped with a clear pictogram system that allows quick orientation in the characteristics of the dish. The individual sections progress from simpler to more complex dishes. For complete beginners, we have in mind an inserted page with a description of the basic ingredients of the hemp seed or a practical glossary of the most commonly used terms from the world of cannabis.
Before you start with the recipes, read the seven chapters not only about hemp and its interesting history. You will also learn little-known facts about the endocannabinoid system, which is crucial for the proper function and balance of our bodies. The book therefore also contains information on how to achieve this balance through diet and avoid health problems. We will show you a new perspective on the workings of the human body and how to make big life changes through simple dietary adjustments.
The photographs were carefully taken by the most famous Czech food photographer Alena Hrbková and provide nice inspiration on how to prepare food in a way that we eat with our eyes.
